Disney World

What a week! I can't believe how quickly it has flown by. Last Thursday evening Kennedy woke up screaming at the top of her lungs and tugging on her ears. She had been fussy all day long so we new something was definitely wrong. Going to Disney World with a sick baby was the very last thing we wanted to do so we headed up to the emergency room that night. Sure enough she has an ear infection. Thank goodness we were able to get her on her antibiotic before we left for Florida. I spent most of Friday racking my brain as to what we would need all week. Diapers, bottles all the usual but we had never stayed at a hotel with Kennedy before. I had to think of things like dish soap to wash her bottles and laundry detergent to wash smelly baby clothes, extra batteries for her swing and so on. We packed up the car~ went to Brian and Andrea's for a quick bite to eat and then off to bed. We woke up at 4am to tie up any loose ends, eat breakfast, and head off. The ride down wasn't too bad, about 6 and a half hours (which is a breeze compared to the 12 hour ride to my parents)
Once we arrived we met Grammy and Papa outside the front of the hotel! Kennedy had been crying in the car and the minute she saw my mom she started clapping her hands and was so excited! We checked into our room a little early, refreshed ourselves, and then off the Magic Kingdom! Kennedy didn't sleep a wink. There was so much to look at and so much to take in!

Country Bear Jamboree was our first event, I'm not sure she knew what to make of all of the bears dancing around on stage!

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone had a great Valentines day today! I know I sure did! Kendal surprised me with a necklace that I have been eying for quite sometime, so excited! Thank you babe! Other than that, we did the usual...grocery shopping, walmart, and Sam's Club! Fun Stuff! Gosh, we're boring! Anyways, Kennedy looked so cute in her t-shirt today, I just had to share a pic! Love you all!

8 months w/ Chardpanzee

I can't even stand talking about it and I've been putting off taking this picture all week! She just gets bigger and bigger everyday and we absolutely love watching her grow and change! But I'm starting to realize just how quickly life passes by. We weighed her this week and she is up to 18lbs, no interest in crawling yet...she can't stand being on her belly. She is learning to pick up and eat her own food though and is showing interest in pulling her self up on things. Can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Finger Foods

We have a little piggy on our hands these days! We have always made an effort to feed Kennedy whenever we were eating so she would get used to eating dinner with Mommy & Daddy. About three weeks ago she started pushing away her baby food and whining until one of us would give her something off of our plates! I started giving her little bites of mashed potatoes and small chucks of bread, and now, she can't get enough of it. Kendal shares everything with her. Potatoes, creamed corn, banana's, even apple pie & chocolate cake (which we now know she has my sweet tooth b/c the minute he gave her a bite she actually said MMMMMM! too funny!) Anyways, she had a biter biscuit after dinner tonight and had me cracking up, she kept putting it in her mouth and then she would take it out and start laughing & talking! She is such a ham sometimes!

First Official Swim Class

We officially started swimming lessons tonight along with her best buddies Sean and Hayden! They all did great and absolutely loved the water! Our classes are only supposed to run about 30 minutes but we were in the water for a good 50 minutes tonight! When Kennedy's lips started turning purple I decided it might be a good time to get out of the water!! Their teacher has been teaching lessons for over 25 years and seems like a really sweet lady! I'm looking forward to seeing how well the babies progress over the next 7 classes! I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date!

Squeelers Suck!

I know, I know, they won the Super Bowl...but they are still the Shits-burgh Squeelers in my eyes and I knew Dad would get a kick out of our awesome "Hater" shirts, so I had to post!

Say Cheese!

We took Kennedy to get her pictures taken AGAIN this past
weekend! Kennedy was all smiles as usual, and we got some really
great shots! Thought I would share a few of my favorites! As for our
little family, everything is going well! Kennedy has finally finished all
of her antibiotics and is back to her old self! (Thank Goodness) Kendal
is away this week in Virgina for work. He should be back tomorrow,
but we'll see. They drove up there and the weather isn't really
cooperating too well. He will be home for about a week and then he
is leaving again for about 10 days. Only 24 more days until Disney World!
I can't wait! Other than that, we are all doing great...
Hope everyone else is as well! Love to all!

Poor Baby

Our little peanut is sick again. We took her to the doctor Friday and
after several tests and a chest x-ray were told she has Croup. She is on
four different medications including an inhaler (which she hates)
It breaks my heart to see her so out of sorts. Yesterday afternoon she
wouldn't let me out of her eye sight and spent almost the whole day
laying on top of me. Today she woke up and wants nothing to do with
me (of course) because daddy is home. She spent all day in her pj's
clung to his hip! I just can't wait for her to start feeling better...

On a brighter note: Kendal and I discovered a great deal through the
military on Wednesday and by Thursday afternoon our trip was booked!
WERE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! We called my mom & dad to tell them
about it and guess what??? They're coming too! We are driving down on
the 21st of Feb. meeting mom and dad there and then spending four days
in the happiest place on earth! Needless to say, I'm bouncing off the walls
and can't wait to get there! I know, I know, Kennedy is way too young for
Disney but this trip is more for K & me. why else do you think we asked
Grammy and Papa to come along with us....LOL! Let the countdown begin!

Aquarium!

So I know I'm a weekend behind but I wanted to make sure I got
these pictures up, last weekend we headed downtown to the
South Carolina Aquarium and Kennedy had a blast!
Everytime Kendal pushed her up to the glass of the tanks her eyes
would get HUGE and she would start babbling on and on! It was so sweet!

Daddy & Kennedy in front of the big bridge!
Telling mommy all about the fishies

So fascinated by a bald eagle, she wouldn't even look at me for the picture!

Even Daddy was having fun!
He's such a goof!

7 Months w/ Chardpanzee!

7 Months??? I still can't believe that Kennedy has been with
us for over half a year already! She is growing so quickly,
sitting up on her own now, rolling back and forth, grabbing
at anything she can get her hands on, full of energy and smiles!
Kendal and I couldn't have wished for anything more, she is the
biggest joy in our lives and we fall more and more in
love with her everyday!

I can't believe how much she has changed in the past 7 months...
it just amazes me. Where did my itty bitty baby go?

I'm Back!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! My apologies for not writing in a while,
but we haven't had too much going on in the past couple of weeks!
After we got home from Grammy & Papa's we've done our best
to just take it easy.
So far this year Kennedy has been pretty sick on and off.
She has an upper respiratory infection and is starting to cut
her first teeth
(yippie) and mommy has been
fighting a cold and sore throat for almost two weeks now.
Kendal is the only one in the house not sniffling and coughing and is
starting the year out right, he has been exercising and running
again and preparing for his annual PT test coming up next month!
Kendal's co-workers threw their annual New Years Eve Party,
but with Kennedy and I being so sick, we opted to stay home this year.
Kendal just didn't know what to do with
him self...he kept saying "I can't believe we are in bed at 10:30,
life has definitely changed" We stayed in our PJ's all afternoon on the 1st
and I took down all of the x-mas decorations.
Not too many exciting stories to share so far this year....
but we hope everyone is having a great start to 2009 and we are
so excited to see what this year will bring! Love to all!

Her new favorite thing! Just about every morning while I am getting
ready for the day and gathering laundry upstairs she sits in her crib
for an hour playing with her new friends! She talks to them, starts
giggling at them, hugs them and one morning I found her laying
down almost asleep with her little lamb! So funny!

The rest of her toys from Grammy & Papa arrived this week,
it was like Christmas all over again! She just watches that
train go round and round and round...Only one problem,
it only plays one song...Mommy and Daddy are ready for
its batteries to disappear and tell her "it must be broken!"

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
