Quick Trip!

Boy have we been busy! Kendal has been out of town for the past 2 weeks for work, while Kennedy and I hopped on a plane to Ohio for the past 12 days. We happened to stumble upon a really great deal for air fare and didn't want to pass up the opportunity to spend some time with family. Kennedy was so excited to go on the airplane. Our flights were at 6am which meant waking up by 4am but lucky for me she did surprisingly well. When we got off the plane in Cleveland, she saw her Papa and took off running as fast as she could! She was so excited. We walked in their house and she just made herself at home. My mom jokingly said..."I think she thought she was on vacation, and now she thinks she is back home" too funny! We had a blast~and I'm so glad I didn't totally miss out on "fall" this year! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad...see you in 3 weeks:-)
Kendal will be home tomorrow afternoon and then Nana & Pa will be here on Saturday for the week with lots of fun things planned:-) We sure know how to stay busy around here!
Hope everyone has a great Halloween weekend! Love to you all!

The view from my kitchen window, while I do the dishes:-)

She loves to lay on the floor and watch Shrek or Monsters INC.

Since I took all of her toys home to SC, Kennedy didn't have much to play
with while on our trip. My parents took her to the library and got a bunch
of books and movies for the week. Grammy and Papa read and read and read all week long!

Just like old times...Lazy girls!

Her ole buddy "Kitty" stopped by for a visit!
Kennedy was squealing with excitement!

Coloring pictures with Papa

We went to the park with some friends:-0)

Grammy and Kennedy went on a leaf hunt...

Then they used them to make some decorations

She had to show everyone her " pweaty weaves"
(pretty leaves)

Grammy and Kennedy got matching coats~ LOL!
These two are so silly together!

We went to the dentist and had our teeth cleaned. I was shocked at how well she sat in the chair, opened wide and let Steph do whatever she needed to. It probably helps that Grammy works at the dentist office and her hygienist, Stephanie, is our good buddy:-) not to mention Aunt Carli was in the room for support!!
However, when the Dr came into the room to do an exam~she freaked!

Spitting in the sink or toilet is her new favorite thing~ugh!

She got to pick out a prize for a job well done!

Later in the week while mommy had her teeth cleaned, Kennedy "worked with Grammy"
My mom was on the phone with a patient when the other line rang...so Kennedy took it upon herself to help out..."HELLO!" can you imagine being the person on the other end. Too funny!

Got to have dinner with my Aunt & Cousins who I hadn't seen in 17 years!
The Sisters...don't they look exactly alike :-)

Samantha, me and Cassie

We took Kennedy to a local pumpkin patch!
Silly Papa & smoochie

She was in love with these goats, she would have chased them all afternoon if I had let her

In the fun house~ she drug Grammy through it 3 times!

Waiting for the show to start

Dancing on stage with Grammy (as my dad would say those 2 are"the weirdest people I know")

Shakin' the tambourine to the music

a character from the show...
he was the bad guy so Kennedy was very worried about her Papa at this moment!

She got a pumpkin painted on her hand.
She must have held her hand straight out in front of her being
so careful not to bump it for almost an hour!

Pumpkin hunting with Papa

I found one Papa!

On the wagon ride with Grammy!

Hanging with her bub who she randomly started calling "Uncle Cody"
I think she broke his heart~ he loves being her Bub

Cody and his girlfriend Lindsay:-)

She was so happy to spend time with him

Kennedy started sipping my Mom's coffee all of the time back when we lived with her
As soon as she saw my Mom's coffee cup she was so excited, she had to have her own cup
Kendal is going to kill you, Ma!

Cheers!

We went to the Farmer's Market to see my God Fathers folk band play.
Dancing with Grammy and Kaie

Papa Raig (the one on the left with the guitar)

We went to Boo at the Zoo...It ended up pouring rain while we were there and we got DRENCHED!! But we had a great time!

Petting a snake~ GROSS!

She loved loved loved these singing witches!
I dressed her up as a Lion, which she totally hated and only wore the costume for maybe 45 minutes! I managed to snap a few pictures!

Mom volunteered to sing the Monster Mash to the crowd~ahahahaha!
Another moment where my dad shook his head and said
"weirdest person I know"
LOL!

Hanging out in the music tent trying to stay dry

Helping Grammy work in the yard

Just like last year
She built a scare crow with Papa

Tickling Papa

They did such a good job!

The 2 goof balls at it again!

Many have asked so here it is...
12 weeks down
I still can't believe how BIG my belly is already!

Fun,Fun,Fun!

Another fun week in the Tripp household! Kendal was on night shift so we didn't get to see much of him this week. Kennedy sure was missing her Daddy...she made sure to cling to him every chance she got~too cute! Kendal and I have both mentioned how much we miss home this time of year. The leaves changing, bonfires, football, scarecrows, pumpkins, and most of all the COOL air! Its still in the 80's here during the day and in the high 60's in the evenings. We were determined to experience "fall" this weekend! So we went to a high school football game on Friday night. Kennedy LOVED this cheerleaders and the band. We had a great family night. Saturday we headed out to a local pumpkin patch with some friends and tomorrow we plan on watching some football and decorating the house for Halloween! I am so excited to dress Kennedy up and take her trick-or-treating this year!! I hope you are all enjoying that fall air for us up north! We sure do miss it, and all of you!!!!

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
