I Miss My Palm Trees :(

Another week is behind us. Exactly one month from today Kendal will be here with us and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am! He bought his ticket last week and will be home on December 17th until December 29th! We are planning a small family trip to one of the indoor waterparks to spend some quality/FUN time with Kennedy! Maybe a Browns game and an evening at one of the nice hotels downtown just the 2 of us! Even if we do nothing but sit on the couch I will still be the happiest person in the world for those 11 days!!!
The weather has been typical fall weather but gosh do I miss those warm sunny days of South Carolina! We have been spending our days in the house, coloring & painting pictures for daddy, practicing animal sounds, shapes, and singing songs! Kennedy's new favorite is ring-around-the rosie and she makes sure we ring around that rosie about 50 times a day! lol! We did make sure to spend the weekend outside however. She had a blast running around the yard and playing ball with grammy & papa and going on walks in her wagon...she's definitely her daddy's daughter, she loves the fresh air, running around and getting dirty!
Mom and I had a jewelery party this past week and had a blast with everyone who was able to make it. Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who came...we sure are blessed with some amazing friends!
Dad and I went to the Monday night football game last night against the Baltimore Ravens. Of course we lost (nothing new) and we didn't get in until after 1am. Needless to say, mommy is exhausted and doing everything I can to keep my eyes open~ and we are babysitting baby Aubrey today too. While they are both napping I thought I would get in my weekly post and then its nap time for this girl too! Have a great week everyone! Love you!

Mom had oral surgery last Friday and spent a few days on the couch. Kennedy stayed in her "jammies" and snuggled with Gram watching movies & having snacks! She was worried about her bestest buddy:)

Reading a bed time story to Daddy

I can't really explain the obsession with Kitty Cats these days. NONE of us are cat people. But for some reason she has claimed these little furry guys as the loves of her life. She doesn't go anywhere without the 3 of them, she notices cats in every book we read, every store we shop at, and peice of clothing she see's and was even walking around the house with a newspaper clipping that had a cat on it this morning. She only wants to wear the pajama's that have cats on them (Grammy has bought her about 5 pairs by now) and even checks her clothes when we get her dressed in the morning to see if she is wearing something with a cat on it. (She has a few things) The cats in the neighborhood must know because while having coffee the other day I noticed a cat in the backyard. Of course I ran and got Kennedy & showed her and the next thing we knew, there were 4 cats in the yard. I've never seen her jump and scream with so much excitement. SO FUNNY!
Has Breakfast every morning together!

Mommy's little dare devil, she's mastering walking up and down the stairs with out holding onto anything!

Going for a run~ lol

Pickle in the middle

I just love that litlle smile so much! Keeps me going everyday!

I can't figure out how to turn the video (okay, I probably could~ but that nap is calling my name)~ so just enjoy it sideways
Her elephant is my favorite. She doesn't do the noise in the video that she usually does but she does do the motion~ which cracks me up everytime. The frog at the end makes me laugh too. She does the motion but still can't master that "RIBBIT" lol!

Happy Halloween!

OCTOBER IS OVER~ YAY!

Normally I am pouting when all of the fun October festivities come to an end! It is my favorite month of the year but this year I was so excited to see it here and gone~ Only 1 month and 15 days until Kendal is home now!!! Halloween was a little bitter sweet this year. I was happy to be home with my family and taking Kennedy trick-or-treating for the first time but I was pretty bummed that Kendal was missing it all~ We were sure to web cam with him though!
Kennedy was SOOOO cute when it came to Trick-or-Treating! She saw all of the other kids running up and down the street, that she just couldn't wait to get in on the action! We came home after 6 houses because it was pretty chilly out~ She didn't mind though, she loved passing out candy to all of the kids too & not to mention the 3 candy bars she got to eat! Just like Daddy~ she sure loves her Reese's peanut butter cups, lol!
We spent Sunday helping papa work in the yard and watching football! We had a blast all weekend long and we are super excited that we are one month closer to seeing Daddy!!!!

Carving Pumpkins

Checking out the "guts"

I'm not really into all of those crazy designs, basically bc I don't have the patience for it, so we just did plain ole jack-o-lanterns
Thanks PAPA for helping!

Grammy brought out all of the candy for the trick-or-treaters...She was so excited!

Filling the basket!~

My little bumble bee!

Showing Daddy our costumes!

Kennedy is obsessed with Kitty Cats these days, so Mom and I were entertaining her obsession!

Papa dressed up as a browns fan! hahaha!
Kt wasn't sure what to make of him!

Running like the big kids!~

"No more candy"

Daddy had this Browns Jersey made for her & I LOVE IT!
Complete with her nickname and 08 for the year she was born! Its pretty big but she will have it for years to come!

We have had some great fall weather in the past two weeks! MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR! We spent as much time as we could outside! Kennedy loves kicking the leaves, "crunching" them on the driveway and she helps rake them up too! She is such a great little helper!
Kendal has been gone for 12 weeks today, I can't believe it has been 3 months already! Time is really flying. I hope I'm still thinking that when spring rolls around~ lol. Only 7 more weeks until he is home to visit, we are really getting excited! Kennedy & I will be traveling to Iowa for Thanksgiving again this year! We are excited to take my sister, Carli, along with us! I asked Carli to come along with us so I could have a little help during travel (which is a major pain in the butt, especially on the busiest travel day of the year!) Should be a good time and we are really looking forward to it!! This weekend is Halloween and I'm so excited to dress up Kennedy and take her trick-or-treating for the first time. She was really sick last year at this time and too young to really enjoy it! Just bummed that Kendal is going to miss it! Hope everyone is doing well, lots of love!

"Her Kitty" saw us outside and came over to say hi!
I can't even explain how much she loves Cats...she drags around her 2 stuffed cats ALL DAY LONG saying "meow, meow, meow" So funny!

Look who's back! lol

Another week down! 40 more to go! Well, the sick bug got into our house this past week. My sister was first, then Kennedy and then me! Thankfully we think it was only a 24 hour bug and not the full blown flu! Since we were all sickly this week I didn't do a very good job taking any pictures. We have been meaning to take Kennedy to one of the local pumpkin patches this month but we just never seem to make it out there. However, my bestfriend, Lindsay & her family have a little pumpkin patch set up at their home. Lindsay's cousin sets up a stand every year to sell pumpkins, so we just headed over there this past weekend to pick up a few! Other than that we have been in the house trying to get better. I have to take this opportunity to wish my wonderful hubby a Happy 2nd Anniversary! I wish he was home with me to celebrate but he wasn't here last year either so I've learned that a good chocolate candy bar will always make me feel better! Anyways, we miss u all so very much, hope everyone is having a great week!

My beautiful "sick" baby:(

We all think she may have a slight case of OCD. All day EVERYDAY she finds things around the house and then lines them up just perfectly and in this case was getting frustrated because she was trying to match every pair and Uncle Cody kept messing them up!

Ooooh momma, look at that one!

I just love that face!!!

Same Old~Same Old

Nothing much to report this week. Just life as usual. It was pretty chilly out so we spent a lot of time playing inside. Kennedy turned 16 months old on Saturday and I can't stand it...she is growing up WAY too fast! Kendal will be in shock when he comes home in December to see how much she has changed. Hope everyone is staying warm~ we are thinking of you guys who got snow this past week and praying it doesn't come our way anytime soon! lol!

Helping Bring in the Groceries

A very tired little girl who refuses to go to sleep

At the farmers market

My little rockstar...she walks around the house with these sunglasses on because my mom, dad, & sister wear glasses and she wants to be like them...so funny!

Running from me because she didn't want to go inside =)

Another week down on the calender! Kendal has been gone for 9 weeks now~ time sure is flying, 10 more weeks and he will be home for 10 days~ such a crappy trade off when I think about it~19 weeks for 10 days=(
The weather warmed up a bit this week so Kennedy got to spend a few days outside (which she loves) She spent the weekend helping Grammy decorate for Halloween and helped Papa work in the yard...she's a busy little helper! She is also quite the clumsy klutz these days. This child falls over and walks into more walls than anyone I've ever known. She has so many bruises it looks like I beat her. Her latest bruise is when she walked into the wall while talking this past week. She has had the biggest bruise and bump on her head possible. Then she busted her nose playing in the kitchen the very next day. So much for taking her to get her pictures this week! lol! Well, I hope everyone is having another terrific week. love to all!

Her morning routine...
Talk to daddy for about an hour
&
then Jack's Big Music Show!
Silly Daddy!
Everything in her world stops for 30 minutes a day
I was trying to capture her many bumbs and bruises but you can't really see them!

Papa was taking a nap and Kt wanted to play..She piled every stuffed animal she owned on top of him~ this was only the beginning! lol!

Helping Papa break up sticks
"Gimmie that, Papa"

I'll put it in the bag!

She loves my mom's singing skeletons and we watch them over and over and over again! It was Aunt Elizabeth's turn to enjoy "I got you babe" for the 100th time that day! lol

Kennedy has been showing signs of getting ready to start potty training recently. Mom & I found this adorable potty this past weekend! So stinking cute! Almost too pretty to go in! lol

I've been to every game this year w/ Dad (my favorite part about being home)
Now if only we could win a darn game!

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
