Introducing... Colton Riley Tripp

HE'S HERE!!!!
Colton Riley was born on Thursday May5th at 1:35pm.
He weighed in at 7 pounds even, measured 20 inches long and is an absolute dream come true!

The day before Baby Brother's Birthday we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of another person...

GRAMMY is here!!!
I don't think Kennedy stopped smiling the entire day!
Colton's nursery was finished in just the nick of time...
The next morning Kendal & I packed up and headed to the hospital. I was surprisingly pretty calm, the nerves didn't really hit until I was in my gown and saw my first of MANY needles for the day!! My biggest fear wasn't having surgery again, or having another baby, it was the anticipation of the spinal and what that was going to feel like. When I had Kennedy, I was in full blown labor and in ALOT of pain...so I could have cared less what the epidural was going to feel like, I just wanted some relief. This time around I wasn't in any pain at all and I was about to get a giant needle in my back!! It really wasn't too bad however, the anesthesiologist kept slipping and instead of just one prick we had to try it 4 separate times! I now have a giant bruise and 4 needle marks on my back...but it was all worth it about 20 minutes later:-)

Just received my Iv and had my blood drawn~
still smiling!
Daddy was so excited to meet his little man~ He couldn't stop staring at the clock!!

Heading into the Operating Room!

Less than 20 minutes later!
IT'S A BOY!
Meeting my little man for the 1st time!

As soon as they pulled him out, my Dr shouted...
ANOTHER ONE THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE DADDY!
My Dr had a dosage of Morphine injected into my spinal site after surgery to maintain my pain that was due to last for 12 hours. Unfortunately I had a terrible reaction to the medication and spent the next 12 hours throwing up. Colton was born at 1:35 in the afternoon and I didn't get to hold him until 2 in the morning:-(

Holding my little guy for the very first time!

We spent the rest of the night just like this:-)

We decided to hold off having Kennedy come to the hospital on Thursday because of the way I was feeling. We didn't want her to see me in that condition and scare her!
So first thing in the morning, Grammy brought her straight to the hospital!

Meeting her little brother for the 1st time!

It was love at 1st site! She couldn't stop kissing him!
And almost a week later...she still can't stop!!

I'm the happiest Mommy ever!

Kendal & I both agree that our family feels complete!
Colton filled a hole we didn't even know existed!

Grammy is in love all over again too!
My boys:-)

Best Mother's Day present ever!
Nothing will ever top it!

Mommy's big helper!

Lots of Big sister snuggles

She can't get enough of him!

They're afternoon Routine...

My whole world!!!

This is how we spend our mornings! Snuggled in bed staring at a sleeping baby:-)

The proud Grammy taking a break! My mom has been a life saver this week! My house is clean, laundry is done, home cooked dinner every night, bottles are always washed and ready to go and she spends the other half of her day chasing Kennedy around and keeping her entertained!
I LOVE YOU MOM!

NOTHING could make me smile more!

Movie night!
Mommy can't wait until she feels better and can join them!
But for now...I HAVE to watch from a distance:-(
At least the view is pretty perfect!

Easter 2011

10 more days!!!! Baby brother will be here in just over a week and Mommy has been busy making lots of lists and checking them twice. Since I'll be stuck in the house for a good 4-6 weeks after surgery I am frantically trying to make sure all of my ducks are in a row around here!!
Kendal has been away for work most of this month and we were super happy to welcome him home last Thursday night! It was a VERY long 17 days with out having Daddy around & Kennedy spent the entire weekend hanging on him and refused to let him out of her sight! He made it home just in time for Easter weekend and we sure had fun around here! The weather has been in the 80's so Friday was spent working in the yard, pulling weeds, cutting the grass, trimming tree's, digging out Kennedy's summer toys and scrubbing them down and most importantly enjoying the sunshine!!! (and yes Ma, I actually pulled the weeds~lol) Friday night we headed to the movies and watched Rio. Kennedy loved it (I, of course forgot my camera-oops)
Saturday we went to our friends church for an Easter Egg hunt! Super fun!! Kennedy was thrilled with all of the goodies she collected! And we had a very un-traditional Easter Sunday this year. We slept in...checked out what the Easter bunny dropped off, and then headed to the beach for the day! It was around 87* here and beautiful!! Couldn't have asked for a better day!! Hope everyone had a very blessed weekend:-)

enjoying a little ice cream on a hot day:-)

someone got into mommy's makeup! LOL!

William and Kennedy making their own pizza's for lunch

Trying out her new princess umbrella from Grammy & Papa

Waiting for the Egg hunt to start!
William and Kennedy were so funny when the hunt started...all of the other kids were scrambling for eggs while the two of them twirled around with baskets on their heads having no idea what they were supposed to be doing! haha!!!

They figured it out with a little help!!!

The Easter bunny's delivery!!!

She said
"MOM! its just like when Santa Came"
So cute:-)

Her Favorite!!!

Dying Eggs!

They did a great job!

She was so proud of them...

It's hard to believe that in just one month from tomorrow our little guy will finally be here! I'm not quite sure where the last 8 months have gone! Time sure is flying by and we are so excited for his big arrival!!
Kendal is leaving on a trip for work later this week and won't be back until the end of the month, so we decided to jam pack this past weekend full of fun family activities! We all had a blast and between all of the ice cream and candy we probably each gained a good 3 pounds or so! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the warmer weather! Love you all very much!!

Kendal was on alert last week and it rained just about everyday! We were so tired of being trapped in the house by the time Friday came around!

Dropping off lunch to Daddy last week!

Friday afternoon we headed to the annual Flower Town Festival
The festival is huge. The streets are lined with tons of craft vendors, yummy food, activities, and carnival rides! Kennedy was in heaven!!

Riding the Crazy Train around the festival with Daddy!

Round and Round!

Getting her hand painted!

Her FAVORITE!

The Circus was in town this weekend too! So we headed to the fair grounds Friday evening to check it out! I had a hard time getting any good pictures! Her favorites were the elephants and the tigers!

Who in their right mind gets in a cage with 8 giant Tigers???

Saturday morning we went the local Children's Museum.
What a super fun place!
Kennedy had a Ball, especially in the water room. She would have played in that water all day if we would have let her!
Racing her boat down the rapids...

In the princesses castle...
Measuring how tall she is!

Deciding what to cook for dinner...

Pig it is...LOL!

In the dungeon with Daddy:-)

They have a little grocery store set up as well.
Kennedy was given a list of items and sent off shopping!
She got everything on her list as well as a few extra sweet treats~haha

Produce...

Checking out~ such a handsome cashier:-) hahaha

Sunday afternoon we decided to head over to one of our favorite hidden gems
River Front Park!

She Squealed with excitement when we told her where we were going!

We packed a picnic and headed out:-)

Love that view!
