Let the fun Begin!

I apologize for slacking on the blog lately! I know I have frustrated a few people (DAD) so here is what we have been up to!
Wow! We have had some very busy last few days/weeks! Mom left last friday after her visit and Friday Night Mom & Dad Tripp, Jared & Gaige arrived for a week long visit! Kendal was on an airplane heading home from Washington State! When they first got here, they visited with Kennedy and took some pictures! One by one they headed upstairs to take showers because they had been in the car for two days! Gaige was so sweet with Kennedy all week long! I had never seen a little boy be so interested in a baby and so willing to help! He made sure she had her pacifier, rubbed her feet and sang to her to calm her down and helped with her bottle everytime she needed to eat! He was so sweet! Once Kendal got home, we all visited for a while longer and then headed upstairs and crashed!! I was so excited that Kendal was finally home and looking forward to the next week!

Saturday...First day of activity!

Saturday was our first day of festivities! Kennedy was the first one up! She proceeded to wake everyone else up shortly after! We had some breakfast, got dressed and then headed up to the Air Force Base so Gaige & Jared could see Kendal's plane! After playing at the play ground, walking out to the jets and investigating them we went over to Kendal's favorite Mexican joint for lunch! After lunch, we went to check mom and dad into the hotel they would be staying in for the week! They checked in, everyone changed into their swim suits and ran to the pool! They had a great time splashing around and cooling off while Kennedy and I relaxed in a near by chair! We came back to the house for dinner for a really delicious pork chop dinner, watched a movie and then they went to the hotel and we went to bed! It was a fun first day.... it seemed to be going by way too fast and it was only day 1!

BEACH DAY:-) My favorite!

Sunday was my favorite day of the entire week! We went to my favorite place ever...The BEACH! I was so excited to take Kennedy & Gaige for their very first time! It was a beautiful HOT day! We set up camp and hit the water! Gaige had a blast building sand castles and riding his boogie board! While Kendal & I sat under the umbrella with the baby! She just loves being outside! Mom had a great idea of putting Santa hats on everyone and taking a Christmas in July picture! I thought it was cute, but I'm not so sure Jared felt the same! haha! Grandma bought Kennedy a bathing suit to match her's which I thought was adorable, they looked so cute together! After the beach we came home, took a much needed nap and then had Brian, Andrea & Sean over for a deer sausage dinner ( I had a cheeseburger...lol)

July 28th...Fishing Day

Monday morning the alarm went off at 5am! Kendal headed over to the hotel to pick up his dad and brother and they headed down to the marina for a day of deep sea fishing! They said the boat ride was pretty rough and long but seemed to have a good time out on the water! They were all exhausted when they came home and were in need of some serious nap time! Mom, Kennedy, Gaige and I went shopping for a little bit and to McDonald's for lunch while the boys were away! We don't have any pictures of their fishing trip~ but a couple of shots of the kids that afternoon! I must add, many of you know I am not a big steak eater AND I add italian dressing to just about everything I eat, but mom made an awesome marinade the night before and when I took a bite of dinner that evening I couldn't stop! No Italian dressing needed! It was so delicious, I can hardly wait until next time! Thanks Mom:-)

July 29th Jared & Gaige's last day :-(

Tuesday was an interesting day! Kendal, Kennedy, & I were woken up by the police ringing our door bell. Turns out, someone decided to bash in the back window on Kendal's truck (but not take anything) we made a police report and Kendal spent the morning sweeping glass out of the truck! After that mess was cleaned up we headed over to mom & dad's hotel. We fed the baby and then headed downtown! It was such a beautiful day by our house, but it was pouring rain on and off down at the market! Kendal's family headed to the market and I kept Kennedy in the car until it started to drizzle and then Kendal and I joined them! We walked around for about an hour or two and then headed back to the north end of town for dinner! We went to the noisy oyster and ate some yummy sea food. ( yes ma, I do like some kinds of seafood, lol) After dinner we came back to our house to watch wipe out, which is our favorite new Tuesday evening show!! SOOOO funny! It was Jared and Gaige's last night here! So we made sure to take a few snap shots! Gaige was a little apprehensive about holding Kennedy because I kept saying how bad she stunk (I thought she went "boom boom" but it was just gas) Hence while she is sitting next to him and not on him! hahahaha!

July 30th...

On Wednesday morning Jared and Gaige headed to the airport for Gaige's first airplane ride! They went home a day early because Jared needed to get back to work! (I think he just didn't want to sit in the car for over 20hours again...lol) Kendal and his dad worked on the outside of the house, while mom and I stayed in the air conditioning with the baby! Mom sewed Kennedy's bassinet skirt for me and made dinner, while I gave KT a bath, picked up and did laundry! We had a nice and quiet day:-)

July 31st...our last morning with Grandma & Grandpa

Our last morning with Grandma & Grandpa was spent watching the news, sipping coffee, packing up the truck and taking a few pictures! It was sad saying goodbye, but we enjoyed our week together soooo much and will hopefully be visiting their neck of the woods for Thanksgiving!!! Thanks for everything while you were here Mom & Dad!!!

On Sunday July 20th, Kendal was getting ready for a week long trip to Washington State! I was very anxious and nervous about him leaving because this would be his first trip away from home since Kennedy was born! He would be gone from Monday-Friday and wouldn't get home until after his family would arrive for their week long visit! I needed to be able to pick up the house, mow the lawn, grocery shop, and take care of the baby all by myself! I was venting to my mom one evening on Skype when she informed me she would have the same week off of work while Kendal was away! I begged her to come stay with me for the week! And of course she came! (she needed some serious Grandma time!) I was so relieved while she was here. She spoiled me rotten ( as usual) and let me catch up on some much needed sleep! We had the best time laying around in our pajama's, cuddling with the baby and not getting dressed until well after 4pm everyday! Kendal bought me and Kennedy a plane ticket this morning for the next time he is going out of town! We will be visiting Grammy & Papa for 24 days and I can hardly wait!!!!

The Twins
Taking a nap w/ daddy
Drying off after her bath!

We had a pretty full weekend again! Kendal's supervisor, John, and his fiaPublish Postnce' Tara have been re-stationed in Kansas and this was our final weekend together! So Friday night we went to dinner at Yokoso Japanesee steakhouse with about 20 of our closest friends! We had such a great time and Kennedy was very well behaved. Much to our suprise She loved the sound of the drums and all of the loud noises! On Saturday we headed over some friends house for a goodbye party for John and Tara as well! There were about 25 people there and Kennedy was spoiled rotten, because everyone wanted to hold her! We were there until about mid-night and then headed home because mommy & daddy were pooped. But our party girl was wide awake! We finally went to bed at 1:30am! We spent all of Sunday laying around the house in our pj's and snuggling on the couch! It's been a fun-filled busy weekend! We hope all of you have a great week!

We had another great night of sleep! Kennedy seems to love her "straight jacket" She slept for 4.5 hours last night, woke up to eat and went back down for 3 more! Yay! We thought we were going to have a great day but Mommy had to call daddy home from work this afternoon because her incision started to bleed! We raced to the Dr's office AGAIN and had to get poked and cleaned back up. Back on antibiotics for infection and staying out of the water. I will go back in next Thursday to be checked again! This is really starting to annoy me! I have been following the Dr's orders and doing pretty much nothing and every week its the same thing! I can't wait to get out and exercize, I'm going nuts! But I did loose another 5 lbs! So that was good news! Well, I uploaded a couple of pictures! Hope everyone has a great day... back to being a bum! lol!

I was on a mommy's website yesterday and saw this really cute idea. We have to choose a stuffed animal and every month on your child's birthday take a picture of her next to it to see how she changes and grows! Yesterday Kennedy turned one month! So Kendal and I choose the chimpanzee that papa got her (since we all call dad "Chard" short for Richard, we named the chimp "CHARD-PANZEE"!) As of right now, they are the same size! lol!

So as most of you know little miss Kennedy has been giving mommy and daddy quite a hard time in the evenings. She is such an angel during the daytime but once the sun goes down she turns into a completely different baby. She won't sleep in her bed because it isn't as soft as our bed or the couch, she hates sleeping flat on her back because she is very gassy and uncomfortable and when she does sleep on her back she wiggles her arms around so much she smacks herself in the face and wakes herself up. Well, we all know what a problem solver Kendal is, so we headed to BabiesRus yesterday when he got home from work on a mission. $75.00 Later we had a solution and Mommy & Daddy got the best nights sleep in 4 weeks! Here was Kendal's solution!

Specially designed swaddling blanket -aka- STRAIGHT JACKET:-)

Memory Foam Pad with elevated neck and head OH AND a heart beat simulator!

New, gentler formula for gassy and fussy babies!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a blast celebrating Kennedy's first holiday! We slept in until about 11:30am because our party girl stayed up until 6:30 in the morning and mommy & daddy were exhausted!! Once we rolled out of bed, Kennedy got dressed in the cutest little dress ever, we packed up the cooler and headed over to a cookout/pool party with about 15 other families. The weather was awesome ( not too hot for once) and the fire works were flying. Our daughter decided to pee through her out-fit about 2 hours into the party...I told Kendal there was a good reason I had to buy two spare red, white and blue out-fits!!! LOL! We hung around the cook out until about 9pm and then headed down the road to some other friends home for some yummy dessert! The boys stared playing video games and it was well after 11:30pm by the time we got home! It was a long day but we had a great time! We wish we could have made it to the fire works but decided we would rather wait until next year when KT is a bit older and would be way more fun:-) We hope everyone has a great & RELAXING weekend!!! God Bless America!

She's Three Weeks Today!!

I can't believe how time flies once you have a child! These past three weeks have gone by so quickly. Mom, Dad and Carli left yesterday morning and Kendal and I were both pretty bummed! It was so nice to have family around and not to mention all of the extra help! Kendal is on nights this week, so I'm still pretty spoiled because he gets home around 4-5am and he doesn't mind staying up until 7ish with Kennedy so I can get some zzzzz's. And then he's up and keeping me company around 2:30pm! She will be a month old before I am ever left completely alone with her! LOL! Kennedy is doing great! She is sleeping a little bit better and looks like she probably weighs over 8lbs by now! She is focusing on our faces and watching bright lights! Kendal and I used to be BIG tv watchers but we find ourselves not even turning on the tube as we now have much more exciting entertainment! When I was pregnant I couldn't count the days fast enough but now that our angel is here I wish I could just keep the clock from ticking so quickly! We can't wait to share her in person with the rest of our families! Love to all!
