Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we decided to take a little trip out to a family farm to pick our pumpkins for the fall season! We had such a great day! Kennedy loves to be outside... she is always so happy when the sun is shinning on her. When we got to the farm we headed straight to the patch and found our pumpkins! I, of course, made Kendal jump through all kinds of mud and dirt to find me my pretty little pumpkin! And he had to have one of the biggest ones in the patch! Kennedy got a little baby one to match her size! We then walked over to the hay ride area and loaded up! I thought we were taking a nice little ride around the farm and that was it but when we rounded a corner about 10 minutes into the ride, I noticed a BIG cow walking straight towards us. I said to Kendal, Um, why is that massive cow coming right towards us??? and he started laughing at me. About 10 seconds later, about 15 BIG MASSIVE cows came running toward our wagon! I of course, being the city slicker I am started freaking out and jumped to the middle of the wagon. While Kendal laughed at me and said, its just a cow! I had never seen a cow that close up in my entire life! They had the most disgusting tongues I had ever seen! The tractor driver passed around Cow pellets so we could feed them, but I just sat back and took pictures! Kennedy thought they were the funniest things she had seen yet! The closer they got, the more she would laugh and when Kendal would stick his hand in their mouths to feed them she would smile so big! I guess she has a little country in her after all because mommy was completely grossed out and would not let Kendal come near me with is slobbery hand until he washed it like three times! It was such a nice day! I can't wait until next year! Hope everyone has a fantastic week! Love to all!

Eating Baby Food!

Its official...she's a little piglet! We started with Cereal, upgraded to cereal with apples and have now moved onto squash! She loves to eat! She talks the whole time we are feeding her and gets upset if we don't move fast enough! She tries to grab the spoon and help me put it in her mouth, which is why she is wearing a big plastic bib (shield) hahaha! She gets so excited when we put her in the high chair, she knows just what time it is! Kendal says she must have been offended last week when the doctor told her she was small and petite!! I can't wait to see how much weight she gains from this past doctors appointment to the next one!

Bumbo Chair

Last weekend we put Kennedy in her new Bumbo Chair and she absolutely loves it! It is a chair designed to help her learn how to sit up on her own. In just a week we have noticed that she is pulling herself up more and more when she is in her swing or bouncy seat. She is so funny when we put her in it, she just sits there and plays with her toys and talks to herself NON-stop! (just like mommy :-) Finally, something that entertains her by itself !!!

4 month w/ "Chardpanzee"

We took Kennedy to the Dr. today- She weighed in at 12lbs and 24 inches long! The doctor said she is growing great and will probably be a very petite adult because her bone structure and frame looks quite small. But so far so good...We started her on Cereal this week and she absolutley loves it! Just one more week and she will start veggies! Can't wait for those pictures!
Here are the past three month shots! She is changing so much everyday. Kendal says the first month doesn't even look like her anymore! And I can't believe she is bigger than the chimp now:( SLOW DOWN BABY!

I hate saying goodbye

The time is finally here, we had to say goodbye to everyone in Ohio! We had a blast with everyone and really enjoyed spending so much time with grammy and papa but we were missing Kendal and home very much! So last Wednesday at 2:30 in the morning (UGH) we packed up and headed to the airport. (why I thought taking a flight at 6 am and flying out of an airport that was an hour away from my parents house was a good idea is beyond me)...but after a very LONG morning we are home safe and sound! Kennedy was so excited to see her daddy! She gave him a BIG smile and talked his ear off all the way home. She had so much to tell him! 3 weeks is a little too long Kendal said, and I agree! We will be back at Christmas time to see everyone and we are bringing daddy with us this time

Papa

I just love those chunky thighs!

CUPCAKES!!

When I was pregnant, one thing I craved more than anything else was cupcakes! My friends would buy me cupcakes, send me pictures on the internet of cupcakes to tease me, they even bought me bibs and burp cloths with cupcakes on them! Normally, I'm not a big cake eater and I always blamed the cravings on Kennedy, whenever Kendal would scold me for shovling the cake in my mouth, my excuse was that the baby was demanding them, and I couldn't deny her! After she was born, anytime my mom saw her sucking in her sleep, she would say she was dreaming of cupcakes with pink frosting! I knew it was her all along! The last week we were in Ohio, Grammy made some cupcakes w/ PINK FROSTING! Her face in the pictures say it all...she was having such a hard time deciding! (side note: No we did not give her any of the cake or frosting...though I was very tempted to stick some on her tounge! Maybe, in a few more months!)

Rolling over

Well, its official! You can now add rolling over to her resume! Kennedy rolled over for the very first time last week while we were still at my mom's! Once she made it to her back, she started screaming... I think it scared her to death. She hasn't done it since but has gotten very close! We are still working on mastering it!

Family and Friends

This past weekend my bestfriend, Lindsay, hosted a little get together for all of my old friends to come see Kennedy and I! I had so much fun getting to hang out with the old gang..whom I've been friends with since Kindergarten, and letting them meet our sweet little pumpkin! Here are a couple of pictures from the day!

Mommy, Kennedy, Grammy, and Aunt Carli

The Three generations...Oh and have I mentioned we are all Gemini's as well! lol!

Kennedy with her favorite Aunt!
Kennedy and Brayden (my friend Jen's son, he is exactly one month older than KT)
All the ladies! Mandy, Patsy, Kelly, Me, Jen, Lindsay, and Lauren!
When we first arrived in Ohio Kennedy was pretty leary of my parents and siblings. They couldn't even look at her with out her crying and nuzzling up to me. I guess I never really put too much thought into the fact that Kennedy spends 27/7 with me. She wakes up with me every morning, spends the entire day at my side, I'm last person she see's before bed and I'm the one who gets of up with her in the middle of the night. She loves playing with her daddy and talking to him but I'm starting to think she is much more of a mommy's girl than we had ever realized. After about 4 days of being here, she finally lightened up with Grammy, Aunt Carli but she was still pretty unsure about Papa. After the past two weeks however, she is so in love with him. They play together, watch tv, she even stopped crying when I opened the door yesterday to let him talk to her while he was working in the yard. They've become the best of friends and I think it's really going to break his heart when we go home in 10 days:-( Here are a few cute one's I snapped over the past week!

I love October! As most of you know my parents were married on Halloween, so for the entire month of October leading all the way up until the 31st their house is filled with all kinds of fun decorations and home baked goodies! This week Grammy made her famous pumpkin squares with cream cheese frosting and of course little miss nosy was in the kitchen helping the entire time! Too bad we leave three days early, were going to miss out on home made buckeyes for the Ohio State vs. Michigan game! Maybe I can convince mom to make them a little early!!!!
She might look like Kendal but she sure looks like she might have inherited my sweet tooth in this picture! (drooling over a bag of sugar) :-)

Just a cute one of her that Kendal took the weekend before we left for Ohio! She's growing like a weed!

Go Orange & Brown!

This weekend was of course all about the Browns at Grammy & Papa's house. Grammy bought Kennedy a t-shirt that said "It's all about the brownies" and wouldn't you know...we won our very first game of the season! Now Papa says she has to wear the same shirt every weekend because it must have been the good luck charm! She did look pretty cute in it~

About Me

We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing.
