Finally, a some what quiet weekend! Once again Kendal is on alert so unfortunately we were pretty much home bound this weekend. We were dog sitting again, but this time for Brian & Andrea, we really enjoy having Sadie around. She's a super simple dog and we love her like our own, Kennedy spent most of the weekend playing on the floor and keeping herself busy as long as Sadie was near her! So sweet!
Saturday we went to the outlet mall with the intention of buying a new pair of walking shoes for me since I have started walking the giant bridge down town 2 days a week with a few of my girlfriends, but instead we bought Kennedy just about every outfit we came upon! I love spring time baby clothes, and Kendal is pretty weak to my begging!!
On Sunday we hung around all day in our pj's until about 3 o'clock. With a few of the other wives whose husbands were also on alert Kennedy & I headed over to the Cole Bros. Circus that was in town! It was free for military so we really enjoyed our afternoon! I couldn't snap hardly any pictures because Kennedy was tough to hold in the bleachers. She wasn't too interested in what was going on but had a blast when everyone in the crowd would cheer and clap! Well, that's about it for now~ we hope you all have an awesome week! Only 9more days til Iowa! Love to all!

Another weekend, has come & gone!

Another busy weekend has come to an end! Friday night we stayed home, lounging in our Pj's and playing with Kennedy. We have been working on kisses for quite sometime, but she still thinks giving someone a kiss means eating their nose. So Kendal took some pictures of us practicing. She is so funny sometimes!

Making some funny noises with Daddy

Still practicing on crawling, she moves in a complete circle now and backwards but can't quite figure out forwards yet. She tuckered out on us after about an hour of trying.

Saturday night was our good friend, Desire's 30th birthday. We hired a babysitter and head out on the town for the night. We started at a Mexican restaurant and then headed downtown for some drinks and dancing. I haven't had a sip of alcohol in over 2 years now, so needless to say, I'm not willing to share the pictures of the evening and actually, most of them have since been deleted! I have a feeling it will be another 2 years before another sip! Sunday we had a friend of ours little 3 year old birthday party and then an absolutely AWESOME dinner at Jamie & Uriah's. We have been too busy for our own good~ hopefully we will find sometime this week to rest up before Friday creeps up on us again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Yep, you guessed it...another holiday, another excuse to get Kennedy's picture taken! We took her in for St. Patty's day and Easter photo's this past weekend. We brought a ton of our own props (shamrocks, Easter Eggs and a even a boa) I was so excited to get some good shots of her, but of course, of all days, she refused to cooperate. We are going through some seperation anxiety lately, there are even some days when she is afraid of Kendal and refuses to let him hold her. So when the lady with the big camera started acting all silly to make her smile~ she pretty much freaked out! I've posted a few of the cute ones and a few of the not so good ones. Anyways, hope everyone had a great week! Love & miss you all!

What we've been up to!

Once again, another busy weekend. Kendal was on nights all week which really manages to throw off our schedule. I spend my days trying to find things outside of the house to do during that week, so we don't disturb the sleeping bear! So Friday night, we went shopping all afternoon and then spent the entire evening catching up on laundry.

Little missy helping mommy!

Our friends Jamie & Uriah headed up to Virginia this weekend and needed someone to watch their Boxer, Tucker! Of course Kendal and I volunteered because not only do we love dogs but we also plan on having a boxer of our own someday and thought this would be a great opportunity to "test drive" one. We have him until tomorrow afternoon and so far he has been the best dog ever. Kendal loves going in the back yard and playing fetch with him and taking him out for walks. Kennedy just giggles and giggles at him, as usual!

On Sunday afternoon we met a few of our good friends out at Cypress Gardens Plantation. It looked like it was going to be a dreary day, but it turned out to be nice and sunny! The kids all seemed to really enjoy being outside as did the "Big Kids"

Walking through the butterfly house with Daddy and "Auntie Des"

Kendal snapped an awesome shot of my favorite butterfly
GO BIG ORANGE! lol
She really wasn't sure about this whole photo opt.
Such a sweetie

With her best buddy Kylee. They wore matching sweaters this week!

She loves fish! She stood there trying to talk to them and cried when we walked away!

The plantation is covered in swamp land. And you can just get into one of these canoes and take a self guided tour through the swamp with no guide, no life jacket, no nothing. I'm not sure what kind of liability they have, but needless to say we were all a bit nervous. If anyone knows me at all, then they know my biggest phobia is Alligators and snakes. So I was especially paranoid on our ride, because there was no warning of what we might encounter.

Our first find! There were tons and tons of turtles everywhere! They were so cute!
Then I thought I saw something up ahead, but wasn't sure. So began to panic!

Then I realized I really was seeing what I thought and Kendal paddled our bought right up to it! I was FREAKING OUT!

Our first of 6 Alligators...Omg, I never want to be in a swamp, unprotected with tons and tons of gators again~ First and last time EVER
Exhausted after all of the excitement!

He loves when she does this...Because it NEVER happens!

Well, thats our weekend! I have to go eat dinner now because its been ready for 15 minutes and I'm pretty sure my husband is going to have a heart attack if I don't come sit down! Love you all

This past week Kendal was on alert, so Thursday was his last day at work for the week. We got ready for a nice long, busy weekend, until Thursday morning he came home very early. I asked him why he was home so early and he said he just wanted to be with Kennedy and I so he left earlier than normal. I really didn't think much of it and layed the baby down for her nap. I went to take a nap myself because I had a pounding headache. Kendal decided to come with me and right as I close my eyes he says, "babe, I have something to tell you." I said..."where are we moving??" and he said "WE aren't moving anywhere" and right then and there I knew what he was going to say.
Kendal has recieved orders to South Korea for a one year by himself. He is scheduled to leave in early August. Needless to say, my headache did not go away by any means and we both spent almost the entire rest of the day in tears. What a way to start out the weekend! As of right now, our plan is to rent out our house, I'm going to move to my parents up in Ohio, and we'll figure out the rest in the months to come. My heart is absolutely crushed and I keep asking myself how in the world I will spend an entire year with out my bestfriend by my side? I am so sad for all of the precious time he will miss out on with Kennedy. I am so thankful for technology (cell phones, web cams, etc.) For right now, we are spending every second we can together and focusing on all of our attention on our family. We are trying our hardest to not think about the upcoming months just yet and staying positive and enjoying what little time we have left together.
We stayed very busy, as usual, this weekend. Friday night we went out to dinner with Brian & Andrea and Jamie & Uriah (and the babies) and then headed over to the coliseum for Kennedy's first hockey game! We had a lot of fun, but had to leave in the second period because Kennedy had spit up all over herself about 5 times and the last time was all over my hair! I did manage to snap one picture of her, but she wouldn't take her eyes off the ice and look at me!

Saturday we were very lazy all day. All three of us stayed in bed all afternoon together. Watching cartoons and singing songs. We just wanted to have a quiet afternoon, just us! It was so nice. Later that evening we headed over to our friends, Jess & Chris' house for dinner and to meet their new puppy, Khloe! She is a Sieberan Huskey and absolutely adorable! Kennedy spent the entire night giggling at her while Kendal chased her around! We can't wait for Kendal to get back from Korea so we can settle into a newer bigger home with a yard for a furry friend of our own someday!

Sunday morning we woke up bright and early! We had planned to meet a few families from Kendal's work downtown. The men went on a 17 mile bike ride around the city while all of the wives and kids strolled the market and had lunch!

Getting ready for a nice stroll in the park

Kendal, before he got a flat tire in the last mile of his ride (oh and families, notice the shorts and t-shirt and the beautiful palm trees behind him...were thinking of you, while you are all up north FREEZING!)

At Water front park

My girlfriend, Aubrey, has the most adorable, helpful little 5 year old, Kylee. Anytime any of the babies cry or whine, she drops whatever she is doing to run over and help! I swear, I would hire her to come spend a day with me! Anyways, Kennedy kept fussing and wanted to be held, because she was really tired. So Kylee asked me if she could sit in the stroller with Kennedy and help put her to sleep while we walked around. Sure enough in less than 5 minutes, she had that little baby of mine snoring! She earned TWO quarters from me today for all of her help!

I sat her down in the grass for the first time ever and she didn't know what to think of it! She would touch it and then look up at me with this terrified look on her face! Eventually, she liked pulling on it and feeling it between her toes!

After our long afternoon downtown we headed over to Brian & Andrea's for family dinner! Thank you guys so much for cooking! We really enjoyed it! Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Back to the daily grind! Love you all!

9 Months W/ Chard-Panzee

Another month has come and gone! Our little "peanut" is up to 19.0 lbs and 27 inches long! Kendal has been waiting to put a "palm tree" on top of her head for so long, and her hair is finally long enough! Still NO interest in crawling, whenever we put her on her belly she puts both arms out and puts her face into the floor and screams. She'll figure it out eventually! We took her to the Dr. for a follow up to her ear infection and she now has a double! She is on a stronger antibiotic and hopefully it will knock it out this time! She has moved into stage 3 foods and seems to be doing pretty well on them. A couple of the dinners are still a little too chunky for her so we are just taking it slow. Other than that, she is just the typical fun loving sweet baby that she is ( with her moments here and there of course) I can't believe her first birthday is only 3 months away :-(

New Ride!!

So I have to be just about the luckiest girl in this entire world. Kendal and I have been talking about getting a newer bigger family car for some time now. We knew it would be a Jeep of some sort (of course) but we always differed on what we would like! Well, after test driving SUV's for several weeks now, we found the one we wanted on the internet and headed to the dealership this afternoon, I was so excited but there was no way we were paying what they were asking for it. After much negotiating... the dealer would only come down $400.00 and I grabbed Kennedy and my coat and said thanks but no thanks and we left. I really wanted that car too and was so bummed as we were driving away. As we were headed home we passed the Nissan dealership and there she was.... a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I yelled, "Pull into that lot" and almost got us into an accident. Kendal looked at me like I was nuts and said we aren't settling just because you want a car today...but all along I wanted a white Grand Cherokee and I knew that was my car. Kendal gave me a price max and let me do all of the talking. After negotiating for 2 hours the sales man came into his office and asked Kendal where he found me?? He said Congratulations Mrs Tripp it's all yours! I was so proud of myself!!! I love the new car, it has so much room, Kennedy can see out of all of the windows and it has SOOOOO much room! I'm still a little intimidated about driving it because its so big but I'm adjusting! Well, I just wanted to share our good news w/ ya'll!
Oh and by the way, Congratulations to my two very bestfriends in the whole entire world, I just found out today

Shannon and Keith are expecting their third child this Aug. and after two adorable little girls are finally getting their BOY!!! I'm so happy for you both!

And Lindsay & Ken are expecting their first baby this July and are giving Kennedy a best friend...IT'S A GIRL! I'm so excited for you Linds! I am just bouncing off the walls!!
What a GREAT DAY!
