Christmas 2010

What a great Christmas!!
Kennedy was at the perfect age this year and made the weekend super fun!!
Grammy and Papa flew in a few days before Christmas. We drove up to Columbia (about 90 miles from Charleston) to pick them up. They were only expecting to see Kendal there...of course Kennedy and I hid in the bathroom and ran out to surprise them!!
She was so excited to see both of them!

The next morning was spent being lazy. Watching movies and Mom & I baking in the kitchen:-)
We may have squeezed a little shopping in that day too:-)

Snuggling with Papa
Making Rice Krispie treats
She gets her anal retentiveness from me! LOL!
Daddy had to work that morning, she was so excited when he came home!

I love them!

The local fire department rode around the neighborhood with Santa on the back of the truck throwing candy to all of the kids!!

Apparently my mom thought my house was lacking Christmas decorations or she thought it would be funny to clutter up my house because she knows how much that drives me bonkers
so her and Kennedy worked on a few projects to hang up..

Making their chain~
Assembling a snowman...
Kennedy's Christmas Tree :-)

Santa's aka Mommy's elf working in the garage!

We went to visit Santa on Christmas Eve...
Just like last year she was terrified. As soon as we let her off of his lap she stopped crying and calmly said "Bye Santa Claus" haha!

Christmas Eve was spent baking & making my Grandma's famous chicken soup...
Kendal & I rolling the mini meatballs
So cute together:-)
Grammy's elves!

Decorating cookies and cupcakes...
one of the elves was caught licking his finger~LOL!
Mixing up the cookie dough
Clean up crew!
After dinner Kennedy got in her Jammies and met Nana, Pa,
Uncle Jared and Gaige on Skype to open some gifts:-)
Then we snuggled on the couch and watched Frosty the Snowman:-)
Before bed she set out cookies & milk for Santa,
Carrots for his reindeer and wrote him a letter:-)
Setting up everything at the front door since we don't have a fire place:-(
Santa delivered!!!
Her reaction in the morning was priceless!
She took off running to the tree!
It took almost 3 hours to open all the gifts:-)
My favorite part of the day!!
Papa making breakfast for everyone:-)
Kennedy and Daddy playing while waiting for breakfast
Playing with her new doll house from Gram and Papa
I love technology! Skyping with Aunt Carli Christmas morning:-)
After lunch we found one more present in the garage:-)
She crashed into the garage door so she is a little unsure it but we are working on it!
Kendal's dream come true~ a driveway full of Jeeps!
We are forever a Jeep family:-)
Sewing...
Cuddling with Grammy and Papa on their last night together...

I meant to post this last week but forgot to~
Our 2010 family picture:-)

Hope everyone's Christmas was just as wonderful!
Lots of love and blessings to all of you!

IT'S A BOY!

We've had quite the busy week! Between Christmas shopping, Dr's Appointments, and Kendal's crazy work schedule its all been a blur! We found out this week that Kennedy is going to have a baby brother! Can't say I was too surprised. I've said from day one I felt this baby was a boy, I can say that I am THRILLED to be the mommy of a little man! I can't wait to snuggle him!!! We've been tossing around names for months now and I think we've agreed on Colton!! Middle name is still up in the air. I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful, blessed Christmas! My Mom and Dad will be here on Wednesday for the holiday and I can hardly wait! Love to all!

My doctor checking "her baby"
Kennedy is convinced there is a baby in her belly too!

Taking a break from Christmas Shopping at the mall!

Our little dare devil

Kendal's work schedule has kept him away from home a lot this week and Kennedy sure was missing her Daddy. Every split second he was around this week she demanded his attention:-)
I can't believe she eats his hot salsa...she loves it though!

Taking naps together! Too cute!
The 2 competitors needed something a bit more challenging than match game...LOL

We took Kennedy to her very 1st movie this weekend.
We went to see Tangled (about Rupunzel) She is obsessed with princesses lately so it was right up her alley! She did great and loved the movie:-)

A whole lot of nothing!

Not much has been going on around here the past few days. Just getting ready for the holidays. Decorating the house, Wrapping lots of presents and addressing tons of Christmas cards:-) Winter has made its way to Charleston. It has been pretty cold this past week any where from the 50's during the day to the 20's in the evening. I know, I know, to all of our northern family the 50's is nothing but HEY, to us southerners....that's just plain COLD!! I even had to give up my flip flops today:-(
Kendal is on alert this week. So Kennedy and I have spent most of our time going back and forth from home to the Air Force Base so we can spend time with him in his dorm room. I have another Doctors appointment next week to check on the little bean. We will be scheduling our ultra sound to find out just who has been growing inside of me... So excited~ can hardly wait! Hope everyone is enjoying this time of year and is doing well! Love to all of you!

Putting up Christmas lights with Daddy:-)

We had to go out and buy another tree this year. Our other tree was just too big for our living room and Mommy wanted something small and contained this year!! LOL!

Their favorite thing to do together.
The 2 of them are so competitive~ I have to remind them Hey guys, its just match game
and ps Kendal She's only 2!!
Her newest obsession is anything "princess" related! She loves Princess Fiona from Shrek and recently my Mom got her Beauty and the Beast...which we watch over & over & over again!
This is what she looks like every time she watches the scene where Belle and the Beast dance together and she sighs and says "Oh Prince!!" RIDICULOUS!!!!
Whenever we say Kennedy...she corrects us and says no Mommy, its Princess Kennedy!
HAHHAHA! Such a diva!

The weekly belly picture:-)
This is from week 17.
I'm 18 weeks now...I guess my pictures will just be a week behind!

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
