WHAT A WEEKEND!

We had a super busy/super fun weekend! Friday night went out to dinner with two of my oldest and dearest friends from my childhood, Whitney & Aileen. Whitney has a little girl named Presley who is one month younger than Kennedy and she just loved having a little friend to spend the evening with! I really enjoyed spending time with the girls and catching up after all of these years. Of course, I forgot to take hardly any pictures~ and I could kick myself, (Whitney, if you read this could you please email them to me when you get back home!)
Saturday morning we took off early and headed to the annual Johnny Appleseed Festival. Kennedy LOVED LOVED LOVED the horse drawn carriage ride, and we can now add a new animal sound to her resume! LOL! And today, Kennedy and I drove to Columbus to visit one of my closest friends from Charleston, Aubrey and her kids. We went to the largest mall in the state of Ohio...right up our alley. When I arrived I was stunned to find that another one of my very bestest gal pals, Allison, tagged along with Aubrey! They surprised me and I was SOOOOO happy to see them both! Gosh do I miss those girls! It made me so itchy to get back to Charleston! I love you girls so much and Kennedy was so happy to see her friends. Especially William! They must have kissed each other 20 times!!!
We had a great weekend, 86 more days until Kendal comes home!!!! YAY! Mom & Dad are leaving for Vegas in the morning, we hope they have a safe and fun trip...I don't know what were going to do all week! lol!
Lots of love everyone!

Busy Little Bee

Another week is here and gone~ can you believe its been 6 weeks since Kendal left. Time sure is flying by. We had no swimming lessons this week due to Labor Day and Grammy & Kennedy never made it to Gymboree because Grammy came down with a case of Shingles. She is in a lot of pain and I feel so bad for her. We are wishing her a speedy recovery & have our fingers crossed that Kennedy doesn't get the chicken pox as a result. She has been vaccinated so its just a waiting game.
We found many other ways to stay busy this week, we went to the park, took a lot of walks, and watched Ohio sports break our hearts! Mom and I took a trip to the Cleveland Woman's Show this weekend and I came home an AVON representative. I figured I'd try it out for a month and see how it goes! lol Kendal seems to be doing better this week, his spirits are up and I've seen him smile a lot more as well. Only 94 more days until he will be home for Christmas!
I hope you all had a relaxing & fun weekend~ Enjoy the pictures!

Playing at the park

Forget the swings, she is now obsessed with the slide!

Playing Papa's Guitar

Picking & Collecting Grammy's Tomatoes and Peppers

Giving Papa her goods

Before Kendal left, he uploaded about 50 pictures of nothing but himself and Kennedy to a didgital picture frame for her to watch. Just about everyday she pulls the frame to the ground and kisses it, talks to it and I even found her reading daddy a story this past week! It makes all of us tear up every time she does it!

She's so grown up, Kennedy turned 15 months this past week
SLOW DOWN BABY :(

She now refuses to ride in her car...she has to be the one pushing it

She even runs up and down the sidewalk and gets furious if you try to hold her hand =(

GO BROWNIES (even though we lost...but hey, what else is new)

100 days and counting!

Happy Labor Day! What a beautiful weekend we were blessed with, the weather was just perfect! We started swimming lessons this past week and Kennedy was so excited when she realized we were getting in the water. The teacher could tell right away that she has taken lessons before because she was so comfortable. She was jumping off the side of the pool into the water, going under the water like she's been doing it for years, she is a pro at blowing bubbles now and loves all of the songs we sang! It was a lot of fun and we both really enjoyed it! Can't wait until next week! She will be starting Gymboree on Wednesday. My mom is off every Wednesday, so that is going to be their day together :) Can't wait to hear how her class goes! She is walking all over the place all of a sudden, or shall I say RUNNING! Its so funny to see her go flying by me like she has been doing it forever.
On Saturday we went to our friend Stephanie's daughter, McKenna's 1st birthday party. They live in a beautiful house in the country with plenty of ground for her to walk around. She was in her glory! She had a blast on Madison and McKenna's slide, swing & play house. She loves being outside and we had a really nice time!
Every week since Kendal has left I have had Kennedy make him some sort of art project. We have made him a plaster mold of her handprint, colored pictures, practiced our shapes and colors with markers and crayons and this week we did finger painting:) She gets so excited whenever I give her something new to play with. Kendal has been having a tough time since he left home and we are doing our best to keep his spirits up by sending him little pieces of home every week. Kennedy and I put together a box for him every Tuesday and also mail him letters as often as possible. We are exactly 100 days away from being together again! He will be home for 12 days in December and we are counting down every second of every day!!!
We hope everyone had a relaxing & fun weekend~ And I know this is a few days late....
HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY to My Mother-In-Law, DarRay!! Hope you had a great party, wish we could have been with ya'll!
Love to everyone!

She loves rocking on her horse, who she has named Bob!

Uncle Cody & Aunt Elizabeth have moved into their new home this past week! They stopped over to take a break from painting & cleaning:-) And Kennedy is always happy to see them!

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
