Thanksgiving 2010

I Love Love Love this time of year! I love having family around, yummy food to fill my belly, the cool air, the shopping, getting into the Christmas spirit, and most of all being reminded of all that I have been blessed with and am thankful for!! This Thanksgiving was the best! My hubby was home with us this year, my parents were able to join us, my brother & Lindsay surprised us & we hosted all of our friends in our new home!!
Kennedy was so excited for the festivities to begin. She had been waiting all week to see her Grammy. She ran out the front door, past Papa (who was bent down with arms wide open, expecting a hug) and straight to my mom. She was squealing with excitement!

We began cooking right away!
Her favorite part was helping my Mom clean out the Turkey:-)

"Uncle Bub" & "Windsay"
came down stairs in the morning and she was bouncing off the walls!
Having their morning coffee together:-)
(She had milk in her cup)

Thanksgiving Dinner was delicious. I was too busy stuffing my face and forgot to take any pictures of the day:-(
These are the only ones I caught!

Grammy playing with the Kids after dinner:-)

After dinner and clean up, Kendal and I raced up to Wal-mart in hopes of scoring a particular Christmas gift for Kennedy. We were there for 4 in a half hours but came home with just what we wanted!! You'll have to wait until Christmas to see what we scored!

We went to our local Holiday Festival of Lights, which was amazing!!
Aren't they cute?!!
My Little Family:-)
We took a train ride to view the lights!
OF COURSE we found a carousel!
We made Bub take her this time around~ lol

All were missing is "sister"
made me sad not having her around all weekend:-(
The BIG Ohio State vs Michigan game was on this weekend!
(Our biggest rival)
The Peck Household Tradition is to make Chocolate Buckeye's that weekend!MMM!

The Rollers!
The Dippers
And I'll be the taste-tester:-)
What a great weekend! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad! Love you both so much~ see you in just 24 more days!!!

And lets not forget the 4th member of our little family...

Mommy loves you little bean...keep growing!!

Fun with Friends:-)

We spent the entire weekend with friends, and it was wonderful! Kennedy enjoyed playing with her little buddies all day, everyday, while Kendal & I enjoyed catching up with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the weekend~ hope everyone is well!

My lil Banana Masher...
Baking Banana Bread for Daddy:-)

Playing at the park! She loved this slide
Everytime she went down it she said
"riddit, riddit" LOL

I just love this little girl so much!

We went to a birthday party, Kennedy loved the bounce house!
Spent the whole afternoon in that thing!

The best part of our weekend...
Back when Kennedy was first born, 3 of our good friends all had babies at the same time
(Kennedy was the only girl out of the 4)
Since Kendal left for Korea & I went to Ohio a lot has changed.
Brian, Andrea & Sean moved to Washington, Dc
Uriah, Jamie, and Hayden received orders to VA Beach
while Chris and Jess where the only ones who hung around Charleston.
Saturday evening we had the opportunity to all be together for dinner once again,
just like old times! It was awesome and the kids have grown so much! We made sure to take tons of pictures and Kendal & I are hoping we can make it an annual gathering:-)

Here are all of the "new" mommy's with their babies back in November 2008

And here we are 2 years later!!

The babies, youngest to oldest...

and now, in the same order...
poor Christopher was sick,
and we were torturing him with all of the pictures:-(

Goofy, they all climbed in Tucker's cage!
Kendal of course, thought it made a great daycare center! haha

The 3 of them wrestling Kendal

We had so much fun the 1st night, we decided to get together the next evening too!
We walked in the house and Kennedy yells
"Hi Boys!!!" and ran over to give Sean a kiss!
Pretty sure Kendal is going to be in trouble with this little girl!

And of course the weekly picture...14 weeks down
26 more to go!

Nana & Pa Visit

Last Saturday Nana & Pa made the long 20+ hour drive to come visit us for the week. We had a great time doing all sorts of fun stuff! Thanks for everything Mom & Dad, hope you enjoyed the week as much as we did! Enjoy the photos:-)

The Morning before Nana & Pa arrived we went to a Pirates & Princesses party for our little friend Lillian! Such a cute idea!

The birthday girl..

Our little princess (who wouldn't stand still long enough for mommy to take a picture)
Even the Big kids dressed up:-)

The next morning was spent cleaning and carving our pumpkins

Kennedy wanted nothing to do with the insides and kept saying "Ewww, Gross"

So we used a spoon instead!
And of course I forgot to take a picture of the final project :-(
Mom and Kendal made a cat and one that said
"Trick-Or-Treat"

That evening we went Trick-or-Treating
My adorable little
"Dorthy"

Dorthy with her Scarecrow and Glenda the Good Witch

She looked so cute!!

"Twick-er-Tweat"

"Thank-you Much"
(she's so polite)

Out with the gang

The next day we checked out one of the local plantations, Cypress Gardens.
We had visited the Gardens back when Kennedy was a baby but was excited to go back!

One of the best parts of this plantation is getting to row yourself around the swamp
and learning all about what lives in it

Its actually really pretty

Some of the wild life we encountered
(Yes, of course I freaked out and made the boys row the other direction)

My love

That evening Nana passed out haircuts:-)
Kennedy has her little curly flip back!!!

Painting with Pa...

On Tuesday we headed downtown
Unfortunately a cold front came into town
and we had to enjoy the sights all bundled up

Petting one of the carriage horses

We visited a local war memorial

Making a wish in the fountain

It was soooooo cold, but I just can't give up my flip flops!

Our state fair was in town this week, so that evening we checked it out
WE HAD THE BEST TIME!

Very 1st thing, Kendal and Kennedy rode an elephant!
Right after they got on the Elephant, it refused to move. I started to get really nervous that the giant animal was going to freak out with my baby on top of it, but, if you look closely you'll see why she wouldn't move...GROSS!! ( Of course my kid loved it) hahaha

That is one huge animal

She found Goats!!!!
Her Favorite, she told me it tickled when they nibbled out of her hand
LOL!

Her other love, the carousel

Driving the dump truck with dad
There has been some new construction around our house recently and she loves identifying all of the trucks, bulldozers, backhoes etc...
So this was right up her alley

My little cow girl :-)

Our last day was spent cleaning and organizing the garage.
Being Daddy's little helper

Reading bedtime stories with Pa!

About Me

Kendal and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 gorgeous children, Kennedy and Colton, who are the center of our lives. We currently own a home in beautiful Charleston, Sc but with Kendal's career in the USAF things are always changing. We have decided to create this blog as a way to keep in touch with our friends and family who are unfortunately spread all over the U.S. and for our own personal memories! Enjoy!
